Born in 1988 and raised in Melbourne and Singapore, Tom has had a connection with golf since he was 13 years old. Growing up around Melbourne's metropolitan golf courses, he developed an early appreciation for the game and the unique social experiences that come with spending time on the course.

Like many golfers, however, life eventually took him in different directions. After pursuing other interests and spending several years away from the game, Thomas began playing again with his father and discovered a new appreciation for golf.

After his father passed away, Tom found himself without a reliable golfing partner. As he looked to play more regularly and improve his game, he also discovered how difficult it could be to navigate the world of golf in Australia without an established group of people to play with.

Wanting to develop his game and attain an officially recognised handicap, Thomas joined several clubs around Melbourne and began the next stage of his golfing journey. Along the way, he developed a greater understanding of the rules, etiquette and traditions of the game.

After playing many rounds of social golf with strangers and fellow golfers from all over the world, Tom began to notice the same issue coming up repeatedly in conversation.

Many golfers simply struggle to find a reliable playing partner.

Whether it is because of different work schedules, family commitments, playing ability or simply not having anyone available, finding someone to play with can often be the biggest obstacle to playing more golf.

For some people, this can make it difficult to gain regular on-course experience, explore different golf courses, enter competitions, work towards an official handicap or simply enjoy the game more often.

That is where Play With Tom began.

The idea is simple: provide golfers with a reliable, friendly playing partner while creating an opportunity to play more, gain experience and enjoy the game alongside someone who understands the journey of developing as a golfer.

Tom is not presenting himself as a professional golfer or formal golf coach. He is a passionate golfer who understands what it is like to return to the game, navigate the golf world, meet new people and work towards improving one round at a time.

Whether you are new to golf, returning after time away, visiting Melbourne, working towards your own golfing goals or simply don't want to play alone, Play With Tom is about getting out on the course and enjoying the game.
