Not Professional Golf Coaching
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Play With Tom does not provide professional golf coaching, accredited instruction or formal golf tuition.
Any general observations, suggestions or informal guidance provided during a round are based on personal experience and should not be considered professional coaching or instruction.
Golf Australia Handicap Disclaimer
Tom is a golfer with an officially recognised Golf Australia handicap. However, playing alongside Tom does not automatically make a customer's score eligible for handicap purposes and does not guarantee that a customer will receive, establish or improve an official handicap.
The requirements for obtaining, maintaining or submitting scores towards an official golf handicap are determined by the relevant golf club, Golf Australia and applicable handicap systems and rules.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they understand and comply with all requirements relating to official handicaps, score submission and competition eligibility.
Play With Tom may provide general information based on personal experience but does not make any representation that a particular round or score will be accepted for official handicap purposes.
No Guarantee of Golf Improvement
Play With Tom does not guarantee that participation in the service will improve a customer's golf ability, handicap, score or overall performance.
Golf performance varies depending on individual ability, experience, physical condition, equipment, course conditions and other factors.
Assumption of Risk
Golf is a physical recreational activity that involves inherent risks, including but not limited to being struck by golf balls or equipment, slips, falls, uneven terrain, adverse weather conditions and other hazards commonly associated with playing golf.
By participating in a round arranged through Play With Tom, customers acknowledge that they voluntarily participate at their own risk.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating and should seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
Personal Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Their own golf equipment and personal belongings
- Their own conduct while participating
- Their compliance with the rules and requirements of the relevant golf course or club
- Payment of applicable green fees, cart fees and other agreed costs
- Following reasonable safety directions and course rules
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, customers are responsible for their own costs associated with playing golf, including green fees and other course charges.
Course Availability
Play With Tom does not own or control third-party golf courses.
All bookings and rounds are subject to the availability, conditions, rules and requirements of the relevant golf course or club. A requested course, date or tee time is not guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed.
Right to Decline or Cancel
Play With Tom reserves the right to decline, cancel or end a booking where reasonably necessary, including where a customer's conduct is unsafe, abusive, inappropriate or inconsistent with the rules of the relevant golf course or club.
Independent Service
Play With Tom is an independent golf companionship service unless expressly stated otherwise. Play With Tom is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Golf Australia, a golf club or any third-party golf course unless a formal partnership or affiliation has been specifically stated.
Changes to This Disclaimer
This disclaimer may be updated from time to time. Customers are encouraged to review the current version before making a booking.
